"In March 2001, I was offered a new position in Fort Worth, Texas. I would have to move from Chicago to Fort Worth and deal with all the difficulties of moving. Selling a house, finding a new neighborhood and home in a strange city and starting a new career are all stressful happenings in your life. I began my search of Fort Worth by emailing six real estate agents with listings that looked to be my taste and in my price range. Of the six I wrote to, only one answered, Tracey Amaya. My partner and I flew to Fort Worth and had our initial meeting with Tracey. We interviewed her to find out if she was able and willing to represent and work for demanding clients like us. She was certainly up to the task. Our first day out we looked at four different kinds of homes in different neighborhoods and Tracey soon saw what our likes and dislikes were. On subsequent weekends we visited many different houses that both she and we found. Tracey always pre-qualified the homes and visited them before we came to Fort Worth so we did not waste any time during our brief visits. She arranged to have us meet with a mortgage company and bank. She provided us with the contact information for city and state services and helped us gain a better understanding of our new "home town". Thanks to Tracey, we did find our home and we could not be happier. It is in the right location, a good value for the dollar and has all the amenities that we require.
